Inspections

NPDES

In today's business world of shrinking revenues and ever tighter budgets, companies are looking for ways to both save money and maintain quality while also remaining in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Which is the more cost-effective measure? Conducting inspections internally and assuming the feasible risk of a future citation? Or calling in an experienced third party to do a thorough inspection and mitigate the company's legal exposure?

Exceed will perform a thorough site inspection to help determine the right course of action for your company. We'll evaluate your staff's credentials, review your available tracking tools and documentation procedures, and point out any potential exposure issues.

EPA / EPD

The complex laws and rules set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency (Federal) and the Environmental Protection Department (State) can be difficult to interpret. Through mock inspections, we will audit your company and help you to stay in compliance with the various division and branches of these regulatory agencies.

OSHA

OSHA can show up on any jobsite at any time. How well do you feel your company would do if OSHA showed up right at this moment? What happens on your jobsites when the site safety coordinator, superintendent, or foremen are not present? As the project’s controlling contractor, are you sure your subcontractors are in full compliance with all guidelines?

By completing a mock inspection, we will identify specific training and credentials currently in place as well as those missing, giving you the time and tools to get your jobsite up to compliance before OSHA arrives. As part of our inspection, you will receive the following:

Asbestos / Mold / Lead

Asbestos

Asbestos is a type of rock that breaks down into breathable fibers instead of granules like most other rocks. It is also a known carcinogen found in most buildings constructed before 1980. It can even be found in several products still used today during the construction process. When materials containing asbestos are deteriorated or disturbed, the fibers become airborne, putting employees and subcontractors at risk for permanent scarring of lung tissue or other health issues.

Regulations set forth by Federal, State, and Local agencies are strictly enforced to protect the health and safety of building employees, occupants, and contractors. Exceed helps your company to interpret and comply with the increasingly complex regulations that control asbestos. We do this through regulatory assistance and consultation, and can even provide on-site project monitoring from initiation through final closeout to ensure a cost-effective, practical asbestos solution.

Mold

We are all exposed daily to breathing in fungal spores, though many people are unaware and unaffected by them. Others develop allergies to certain spores that can range from common bouts of hay fever to more severe issues with difficulty breathing. When a building has been damaged by water intrusion from a leak or storm, it is possible for mold to develop. Prolong exposure to this type of fungal spore collection can lead to serious health problems, as well as reducing the resale value of your building.

Exceed will provide the attention to detail necessary to identify your mold problem, successfully restore your building, and avoid mold litigation.

Lead

Lead was used as a main ingredient in paint and other products up until 1980. Buildings and homes constructed before then are highly likely to contain lead-based paints. Common construction activities such as sanding, cutting, and demolition can release hazardous lead dust and chips into the air by disturbing this lead-based paint. Lead is known to cause serious health problems such as kidney damage, nervous system disorders, and reproductive issues in both men and women. Exposure in children is known to cause developmental issues.

Exceed will provide you with a lead based paint survey and a comprehensive abatement solution. We also offer on-site project monitoring from initiation through final closeout to ensure abatement is successfully accomplished.
